Modern Tetra Pak carton recycling systems rely on advanced mechanical separation technology to recover valuable materials from used milk cartons, juice boxes, coated paper cups, and other laminated packaging. These multi-layer materials typically contain approximately 75% paper fiber, 20–25% polyethylene plastic, and around 5% aluminum foil. The recycling process begins with shredding and controlled pulping, where water and mechanical agitation separate cellulose fibers from the plastic-aluminum layers without damaging fiber quality. The recovered pulp can be reused in paper production, while the remaining polyAl fraction can be further processed into reusable industrial materials and molded products.

The complete milk carton recycling systems integrates feeding conveyors, shredders, horizontal paper-plastic separators, pulp-slag purification units, dewatering equipment, and high-dryness pulp filter presses.
