An aluminum-plastic panel recycling line uses dry mechanical processing to separate ACP scrap into aluminum and plastic fractions. A typical process combines shredding, crushing, fine grinding, screening, air separation, and electrostatic separation.

The process starts with pre-sorting to remove large contaminants such as screws, steel fittings, wood, and other attachments. The ACP scrap is then fed into a double-shaft shredder for primary size reduction. A hammer crusher provides secondary crushing, followed by fine grinding to liberate the aluminum and polymer components. The ground material passes through screening and air separation for particle classification. A high-voltage electrostatic separator can then separate conductive aluminum from non-conductive plastic. Under suitable feedstock and operating conditions, separation purity can reach up to 99%.

A standard ACP recycling machine may include a feeding system, double-shaft shredder, hammer crusher, fine pulverizer, conveyors or elevators, air separator, screening system, electrostatic separator, and pulse dust collector. The configuration can be adjusted according to the feedstock, capacity, particle size, and required separation performance. Dust collection is integrated into the dry process to control dust generated during crushing and grinding. The process does not require chemical additives or produce process wastewater. The final products are primarily recovered aluminum and plastic particles. Product size and purity depend on the panel structure, degree of liberation, contamination, and separation settings.

Because ACP scrap can vary significantly in core composition and contamination, sample testing is recommended before equipment selection. Testing the actual material helps determine the appropriate crushing, grinding, and separation stages and avoids using a standard configuration that may not match the feedstock. The recycling line can therefore be configured as a complete system or adapted to specific processing requirements, providing a practical dry-process solution for suitable aluminum-plastic composite panel waste.
