For recyclers handling aluminum composite panels (ACP) in relatively small volumes, a semi-manual ACP stripping machine can be a practical alternative to a complete crushing and separation line.

ACP consists of two aluminum sheets bonded to a plastic core. The gas-heated stripping machine softens the plastic core and weakens the bond between the aluminum and plastic layers, allowing manual separation. As the panel passes through the heating and guide system, the aluminum sheets can be manually peeled away from the plastic core with significantly less effort. This method is particularly suitable for recyclers who want to recover relatively clean aluminum sheets without investing in a full-size shredding, grinding, and electrostatic separation plant.

The main advantage is investment cost. A semi-manual thermal stripping machine is significantly less expensive than a complete ACP crushing and separation plant. For entry-level recyclers, it provides a lower-cost way to process ACP waste while keeping the recovered aluminum and plastic in separate streams.

For businesses with limited processing volumes or those starting an ACP recycling operation, a thermal stripping machine can offer a simple and cost-effective solution. Larger recycling operations processing mixed, damaged, or high volumes of ACP may require a fully automated ACP crushing and separation line instead.
